Cogent Integrated Solutions Signs Contract with Seniorlink, Boston Ma.
VANCOUVER, BC -- October 14, 2004 -- Cogent Integrated Solutions Corp. (TSX-V: CSO) announces that it has signed a contract for its Equicare Case Management software with Seniorlink. Implementation begins immediately and should be completed in 90 days. Seniorlink, a private for profit supplier of care management and services to the elder care market throughout the US will be using Cogent's software as the cornerstone of its client information system. Equicare CM, Cogent's core case management system, will replace two home-grown legacy systems used by Seniorlink's Care Advisors and Geriatric Case Managers.
According to David Young, Ph.D., Seniorlink's Vice-President, Operations "Equicare will provide support for Seniorlink's 1,200 Geriatric Case Managers who are located around the country. We also will use Equicare to support our new Caregiver Homes program." Caregiver Homes is a network of private residences and caregivers that enable elders in need of daily care to remain in the community. Equicare CM will provide a core electronic health record infrastructure to Seniorlink employees, case managers at partner organizations, the non-professional caregiver and other potential team members. Special emphasis has been given to privacy and access issues.
This will be the second contract for Cogent's Equicare software being used to coordinate the activities of a privately owned Care management network with multiple input locations across Canada or the US. Including the Seniorlink contract, Cogent has booked contracts totaling (but not recognized as income) $390,000 since the fiscal year end June 30, 2004 vs. $170,000 in contract bookings for all the FY June 2004.
